Easy installation

Add me to the others who've posted here about this shoddy product. The day we got it I connected it and turned it on, only to see water leaking down the inside back wall. Upon closer inspection I found that someone (a technician?) had attempted to stop the leak where the water enters by applying silicone window sealant to the hose. Now that the unit is a couple of months out of warranty it has completely stopped cooling because of a coolant leak. I took the unit apart to see how it was made. If I was the manufacturer I would be ashamed of this piece of junk.

Raritan 87B Ice maker on our boat bought it new 2 years later Teflon flakes in ice from mold tray replaced mold ice maker one and a half years later Teflon flakes in ice mold tray was 289 dollars this is not ! A good design 3 other boats on our dock are having the same problem

As this was replacing an existing ice maker on our houseboat it was easy to install. It made ice in less than 60 minutes after we turned it on. This ice maker replaced a slightly larger unit and we are very happy with it. We do wish it came with a filter like most refrigerators do now and made clear rather than white ice.

Shipped ahead of time. Installed easily and ran as expected.....

Read and believe some of the other poor reviews. Yes, when it works it is a nice machine. Problem is they easily break and you can't fix them. Very poor product considering the cost. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We have replaced our unit two times (once out of warranty, once in warranty)... And it just died a third time only a couple of months after a warranty replacement! I don't think this is designed for use on a boat, it is just priced as a marine icemaker. Super frustrating for an expensive appliance.
