Very Good TV
I have had other small portable TV's and had to replace my analog Casio with a new digital model to take to ballgames. I was unsure after reading reviews of this one. It works great. I get strong reception and the picture is beautiful. It is of course small but is perfect for when I am working on a project and just want to have an eye on the game. I have not needed it for when the lights go out but I think it is a great emergency back-up TV. The trade off is picture size verses portability this wins for portable but you only have a 3.5" screen.

Has done well for me for over a year of daily use
I have this TV in my bathroom where I listen to news while I shower and shave in the morning. Sometimes I hear a story I want to look at. I use the AC adapter; the TV gets fairly warm when used for half an hour or so. In the Boston metrowest region, this TV reliably receives at least a dozen channels (I don't remember because it's been so long since I did the setup scan. A major disadvantage of this, and all other portable digital TV's except the TVtoGo (and re-branded versions) DHT235A, is that it has a non-replaceable battery. Knowing that all batteries have to be replaced, and that this is a discontinued product, it is hard to recommend it unless you use the AC adapter. This paragraph applies to using any tiny portable TV in the bathroom. To hear it over the sound of the shower and my shaver, I have its audio output connected to an Anchor AN-Mini -- a very small (a cube about 6" on each axis) but very powerful (10 AA's!!) outdoor PA amplified speaker (price sticker shock alert); a Roland MA-12 amplified speaker would be a good choice too, half the price but double the size (and beige instead of black).

Portable TV
The first problem I had was that the product I recieved was white and the one pictured was black. Another issue is that the screen on the TV was not centered, there was a black strip constantly on the right side of the screen about a 1/4 inch wide. The pros was that the TV got excellent reception and that it was very easy to use. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand. The battery performed just as well as it claimed if not better. One other thing I found issue with was that there are functions that the TV could do that was not covered in the manual. The product could be a lot better if it was assembled better

Waste of $$
I purchased this tv for my wife as a Christmas present. She wanted something she could take to the pool when we went to Florida. It worked fine on Christmas day. We packed it up until we went to Florida in February. When we took it out of the box to use, the tv wouldn't turn on unless plugged in. So I charged the battery over nite. Next day, still wouldn't power up unless plugged in. I had to call the manufacturer, who issued me a return #. Sent it in, and they returned it about 3 weeks later. It powers up fine now. But now when I auto-tune it to program it for digital channels...it finds none. When I programmed it on Christmas day it found 13 channels in my area. Now it won't pick up any.I guess I write this one off as a really bad purchase. I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy this product, or any others from this manufacture.

Nice Little TV......FOR A WHILE
Got one of this TV as Xmas gift. At first kind of skeptical about its reception since I already got one 7" TV in my garage and having issue of getting good reception. Amazingly this little 3.5" got a very strong reception and the picture quality is really good. I am well equipped now for Superbowl and Worldcup Soccer game.Changed my review from 4 stars to 1 star...after using it less than 4 months: The battery die on me and it wont even charge. Call the manufacturer the first tech guy has no idea about this product....then transfer to another tech guy and I was having hard time to understand his english.. Finally talked to some Sales guy but advise they only can gurantee for 3 months after that I need to send a check for $25.00 and might need to pay more once they find out the problem?!?....WTF is wrong with this iView company!!!!!

HORRIBLE PORTABLE TV FROM HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!
iView products (made by RJ Tech) are garbage. I bought their portable TV and it broke down in less than a week. Their customer service is also garbage. Rude, impatient people who could barely speak English over the phone. I went to their office in Chino and their manager, a bumbling fellow by the name of William Hsiao, admitted that their products are junk and they get complaints everyday. This guy then had the nerve to accuse me of tampering with the POS they sold me. After an hour of arm twisting they finally agreed to replace their junk. I went home and used it for about a week before it died again. Went back to their office in Chino and that they said they won't honor warranty on a replacement?! I gave up and just threw their POS in the garbage next to their office. As I drove off I saw two of their employees digging through the thrash to salvage the POS they sold me. They'll probably try to resell it as "refurb"... This company is complete garbage, STAY AWAY!!!

Not for emergency use
Bought about a year ago. Not great, but adequate for emergency hurricane use. Has stopped working. This new model seems to be limited to built-in rechargeable battery. What idiot engineer designs like that? I buy it to use when I can't use power lines, so how can i recharge it? I want something that uses AA's that I can switch. This is useless for a hurricane situation. No stars.

About the same as the Prism 3.5 inch
Read about Prism 3.5 inch before buying this. Go with the Haier or Prism 7 inch!
