Hisonic HSU8900L 100-Channel Wireless Microphone System with Lapels and Headsets

We purchased the 4 channel Hisonic for equine clinics that we are giving in our area. Most units that we looked at were either very cheap, or beyond our price range (Sure, Sennheiser). This unit fell well within our price range and we couldn't be happier with the quality. It's a very well-built unit. Each input has 100 channels to choose from, you can change these channels if you experience interference on a channel. The transmitters come with both a lapel and a headset, both very comfortable and excellent quality. The transmitters have an on/off switch and a volume dial. The arena was 200 feet long, and the receiver was placed at one end of the arena. The receiver had no trouble with us broadcasting from 200 feet away. During the 8 hour clinic, there was maybe 2 or 3 dropped words between all 3 units that were in use the entire time. We own a professional digital recording studio and need equipment that has very good sound quality. This unit certainly fits the bill. We stored the audio output to a digital camera and reviewing the footage later, we were very impressed with the sound quality. Highly recommended unit.

I use four of these units for a total of 12 lapel and 4 handheld mics. While running 14 mics during a production with up to 50' of distance between the transmitters and their respective receiver I didn't run into any issues with interference or signal loss. Granted, there are A LOT of antennas in a small area when stacked (each receiver bank has 4 antennas, one per receiver). To reduce the number of antennas and create a tidy install, I used a couple of 8-port UHF amplifiers to reduce the number of antennas to 2. Not only did it clean things up at the rear of the console, but it provided the added benefit of increased range.

When the package arrived, it was as expected: not damaged and completely intact. When I opened the box, the main unit rattled - like there was something loose inside. The microphones worked, but barely. We hooked this unit up to a professional sound board. From 50' away, the microphones connected and transmitted without problem, but you could not hear the speaker unless the microphone was right in front of his/her mouth. So the lapel mics were useless, and the headset mics were awkward. 3 stars because the volume was way too low. We played with the microphone volume settings, but were not successful in getting adequate sound. It was a shame, we had high expectations from the other reviews. Perhaps we just got a lemon :( Microphones were returned without a hitch.

I knew the cut in and out problem would be here from other reviews. However, from September 2011 to Dec 2012, this should still be usable. After reprogramming the channels multiple times to try and fix how bad it has gotten over all four channels in only a year, this might as well be a paperweight. It cuts in and out ever few syllables. I highly recommend spending the money and getting a QUALITY not quantity desperation system, ie: Shure. Yes Shure is much more expensive, but its made to hold up for years of service, not A year.

This product is such a great price point, and incredible sound...we are purchasing 9 more units for our theater (funded by an Indigogo campaign). Quality, sound, look and feel are top notch!!!We received nothing in return for this review, except excellent service and a great product!!!

I purchased this for our church, in October of 2011, and the quality of sound and pick-up range is very good for the price. The only problem I have is the quality of the microphone wires, we have had to replace the microphone (not the pack) 3 times in two years because the wire breaks easily and starts popping and cracking. This is something you can't really fix yourself because and these microphones have a screw-in recessed jack and you can't find these in any store. I had to re-order direct from the manufacturer. The mics that failed only get used once a week and they don't get mishandled, I just think they are cheaply made.

Far superior to any other product in its class and price. There are room for improvement however.Left an email for the manufacture but to no avail

These mics are working out very well for us. The sound is is crisp and clear. Battery life is good, better than average.
