Great light adjusts from broad to narrow beam, and pops off when not in use.
We ordered this for our son's birthday. He's very much into riding his bike, and hasn't had a light on it so far. We also ordered a tail light and a dec light that goes on the spikes. We haven't let him ride after dark because he hasn't had lights on his bike, but now we'll be more comfortable with him riding with friends because they'll all be lit up, and together it would be hard to miss them. He's going away to college this fall and will be taking his bike. It's a college with an active biking community, so he'll be able to ride with a lot of other kids - which is good. This light has been great - it adjusts from a really wide focus to a more concentrated and narrow stream of light - kind of like high beams. This has worked out really well for him because when his bike has to be locked up outside, he can take the headlight with him and, if he needs it he can use it as a flashlight. The base stays - it's screwed on securely, and the light just pops in and is held securely in the base.I highly recommend this light for anyone who might be riding after dusk or before dawn, and for those who need to have a light they can pop off and use as a flashlight.

CREE Rocks!!!
CREE Rocks!! I seldom write product reviews but this is such an outstanding value that I wanted to share. I have a CREE flashlight and liked it so much that I bought a bunch as Christmas presents. So, needing a couple of bike lights for the annual Saint Louis Moonlight Ramble, I was happy to find a Cree bike light with Prime. This light is BRIGHT!!! It has five modes of operation including three levels of continuous light and two different flashing modes. The wide to narrow beam adjustment is very easy to use. The mount is easy to install on handlebars of different diameter and the light unit fits into a sturdy, friction-fit clamp which rotates side-to-side to align with the road and allows easy removal for use as a flashlight. Power is from three AAA batteries or an 18650,Only negative I can offer is that there was no diagram of how to use the mount and no explanation for the included rubber strap. Fortunately, the mount was pretty easy to figure out and the strap apparently not needed. And I wasn't paid and

Super Bright light!
Super Bright light! Telescoping feature lets you decide how far ahead to focus, which is great to change when you are on or off road. Price was fantastic! This can be used as a hand-held flashlight for general use as well. The permanent mounting hardware works fine, and has two axis adjustments. There is also a flexible attachment strap that allows you to quickly attach this on other places or another bike temporarily, but it doesn't hold the light in place for long, before it starts slipping out of position on my handlebars.Overall, this is a great light at a great price.

Cheapest 2000 Lumen Bike light
Definitely a better deal than the other 2000 lumen lights. The holster is very sturdy to hold the light and the pivot as well. Its super bright, looks like a headlight to be honest. It fits perfectly on my mountain bike handles. I assume you could modify it if needed to fit another width of bike bars, but it is the standard size for most bikes. The zoom is wonderful as it can adjust to how focused i want the light to be. I don't think the mechanism would wear off anytime soon cause it is meant to be water-resistant and weatherproof so they're definitely made to last. Typically id hate the whole battery thing but it is a lot more convenient to have the AAA batteries than to have a battery pack hanging on your bike. Just get a pack of rechargeable ones and you're good to go!

This is a excellent headelight for the price
This is a excellent headelight for the price. It is extremely bright, can strobe in different patterns and seems well made. It has made a huge difference in my daytime riding. Cars see me now and wait for me to cross before pulling out. This is probably the best thing I could have purchased for bike safety. I had a smaller light before and it was not nearly as effective. This light could literally save your life due to it's excellent visibility.update 11/8/15Disappointed that after owning this light for 10 months, the lens fell off while I was riding the bike on a concrete path thru the park. I would love a replacement lens from the mfg. Also I noticed it is very easy to steal. Light snaps right out of holder with no tools.

Nearing greatness.
4-5* ordered 2, one came with clear plastic adapter for 18650 battery the other came with flexible rubber or silicone thing to attach light to handle bars, but both flashlights work very well even with AAA batteries and the included handlebar attachment holds the flashlight solidly but allows removal, also it has alligator teeth so you can lock in a higher or lower direction. Zoom function is very good, though it slides easily. Switching modes is a bit odd, but works.

This headlight is easy to mount and adjust
This headlight is easy to mount and adjust, however, if you go over a bump the flashlight will likely fall out of the holder. For this reason I've ziptied them together. The headlight is has a good width of range, depth is fair, and I can be seen. Let's see how it goes!Update: it's only been a week and this thing barely illuminates the space in front of me. I have no idea if I can be seen, but I can't see s*** and it's also hard to switch between on/off and blinking.

Commute Light....not a MTB light
It's bright. But it doesn't cast light like my NiteRider mountain bike light does. If you need a light "to-be-seen", this kit is great. Comes with 3 lights you can mount on your bike in 5 minutes. If you need a light "to see" a trail at night, this is not the greatest. Something about how LED light is emitted doesn't make it very effective if you're bombing trails at night where you only have the ambient (moon & stars) to guide you.
