First Act Discovery FA107 Junior Accordion

The one I recieved did not come with a manual, so be sure to buy the the seperate one amazon is selling.Once you get it, it is a joy to play, their are really no wrong notes, and if you get the learn & play book, you can learn how to play 10 melodies, like london bridge, mary had a little lamb, twinkle tinkle little star, and the C scale on this accordian.

I bought this as a toy for myself. At christmas I will probably buy a couple more for kids in my family that are actually chronologically kids. No problems with quality other that slight air leakage from bellows but what the heck can you expect for 20 bucks.

First of all, this item is a lot smaller than what it appears to be - a lot, a lot, a lot smaller. Had I seen it in the store, I wouldn't have purchased it. OK - so it's small and it's for a five year old kid. But the worse part of the deal is that it didn't come with any instructions or any music sheets!I had no idea what to do with it so I returned it. Major Disappointment.

To be fair, this is really marketed as a toy, and as such, is probably worth the price, but I don't think it merits the effusive superlatives in many of the reviews. It's hard to get anything out of it except noise. The left hand reeds are so far off of the advertised C and G tuning, and so mismatched to the right hand reeds as to be irritating. Most frustrating is the inconsistent difficulty getting any sound out of some of the reeds unless you push or pull so hard that you use up all the air on one short note.This might be fun for a 3 year old who just wants to make some noise on a colorful box, but if you are hoping to introduce a youngster to the joy of playing a simple tune, you and your budding musician will be disappointed.

We ordered this accordion for our granddaughter for her birthday (she had requested an accordion). We ordered this First Act accordion after reading the favorable reviews. When we received the accordion there were no instructions or playbook. The description of the accordion stated that an instruction booklet would come with the product. I did email the company and they emailed me a copy of the instruction manual but it was 43 pages and I could not print that many pages. I requested that a manual be sent to me (since it should have been included in the packaging)but they informed me that they didn't have any physical copies. The accordion is as described but I would have ordered another brand that included the instruction booklet.

This was a gift for my 6 yr old grandchilds birthday. For two years she has asked for one. I though it was and odd choice of gifts but I went Looking for one and found the first act. All of the children at her party were fighting over it. Her 4 cousins ages 7,6,6,&5 have all put in there orders for one for Christmas. I was surprized at how well its made, and the sound is wonderful for the price. The only thing I would do differently is get the one with the keys hers has the bottons. What I have found out since her birthday is many of the childrens shows (like Jacks Music Show) have accordions. She plays it everyday.

Easy to play right out of the box. Four year old daughter enjoys it greatly. Kids and grown-ups can't seem to leave it alone. The straps where your hand and thumb go need some breaking in, but overall a wonderful instrument.

Perfect for the beginner.... The adults loved it as well....... well constructed, good quality, would highly recommend everyone adding it to their music collection for children.
