Alfresia 25kg Round Patterned Concrete Parasol Base - Green

We have a 2.7M parasol and originally bought a 9Kg base. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t heavy enough to stop the parasol blowing over if it got a bit windy (we live near the coast). This heavier base works an absolute treat!The screw thread for the centre pole goes all the way through the heavy base, so is very well set and the centre pole itself will take the usual range of parasol poles, with two nnice chunky screw to hold it steady.One quick note, while heavy, it is seems surprisingly easy to chip the top surface (see photo) - the first two delivered were both damaged in transit - on the upside, the customer support was excellent and the third one was delivered undamaged and since then, no problems!

Looks to be a really solid base. I was concerned about how the upright tube was going to fit to the base as this can often be the weak point on parasol bases. However the base has a large screw thread actually moulded into the concrete/resin, and the plastic upright tube which is very substantial simply screws directly into the base. It seems absolutely solid and has two finger bolts to hold the parasol in place. (No single threaded bolt attachment of the tube to the base or anything like that). I don't think my parasol is going anywhere with his base. Very nice finish too. The instructions recommend not to drop the base on your toes, which I think is good advice indeed, as this weighs a lofty 25Kg.

Product arrived a day late. Bolts go through a threaded tube then attach to a nut with a rubber cap. These were not on the bolt already & were awkward to fit, people with big fingers have no chance! We had to take the top one out as it was inline with the bracing cross member of the table. It would be a good idea to have several holes so it can be adjusted to suit different styles of tables noting of course that it would have to be within reach to put the bolt on.Having said that we do like the product & it seems very sturdy as very heavy but only time will tell.

This looks great, is attractive and heavy enough but clearly can't withstand impact. Mine arrived fully split down the middle and crumbling apart all over. The company refunded straight away but it was left up to me get rid of it. Can't put this into home refuse bin so had to make special trip to the local recycling centre. Not good.

Good weight for stability and easy to assemble with good shaped knobs on the pole securing screws. Negative was that the plastic feet glued to the underneath of the one I received were badly positioned and made it wobble. Also it cannot be moved by rolling (which is why you buy a round one) as it will damage its concrete construction. An improvement would be to ditch the feet and protect the bottom edge so it can be rolled into position without damaging the concrete.

Superb product and very heavy, ideal for a solid base to anchor your parasol. I did have a broken securing screw/bolt when I opened up but as far as customer service goes this company is second to none in the speedy, professional, how you want it, way you would like all companies to be. A picture of the damaged part was acknowledged and I was informed of what would happen next and two days later a new part arrived, absolutely brilliant. I definitely would recommend this product and the company if anyone is interested in any other products they sell. I for one will certainly be returning to them.

I bought this for the outdoor weather sensor for my weather station. It holds the steel pole in firmly, with barely any movement even in the strong northern winds. It’s really nice too and you’d never know looking at it, that it’s concrete. Buy it you won’t be disappointed

This is a beast of a base. A bit of the base had chipped away, but didn't interfere with the look or function of this item. I think it could benefit from a primer before painting to avoid chippingI bought a 3m parasol and used it in the wind and rain, the parasol remained firm, it didnot fall over. There was no swaying either.
