Yasutomo Liquid Sumi Ink, 2oz, Black (KF2)

I absolutely love this ink. I used it in my class with Connie Solera. I learned so much about this wonderful ink. I used a whole bottle but this time I ordered the big bottle. Worth every penny!! Great price. I really didn’t smell anything. It is very durable. It dried well. It’s smooth and very functional. Thanks for sharing a great work of art with us. I will continue to buy this.

Great ink! Dark and easy to work with. It flows easily and dries rather quickly. Easy to clean off of hands and nibs with soap and water. Windex will clean it off of nibs easily. Left handed users beware that it will smudge easily, especially if it is applied too thickly. Was highly recommended to me and I pass it along to you!

This ink is incredibly powerful. Dries to a shine and flows well from a nib or brush. Super intense pigment. I use it for everything from calligraphy to detailing on watercolors (no weird reactions with watercolors). You cannot go wrong with this ink. The bottle seals up tight and the lid is sculpted to double as a pen/brush holder. I used it for the calligraphy in the attached watercolor.

Good quality sumi ink with proper pigment and flow. Good no-spill bottle design. I would order it again.

I’ve used multiple different types of inks before and this one stands out the best. The volume of product given is well worth the price and the quality of the ink is great.

This review is for Yasutomo Liquid Sumi Ink, 2oz, Black (KF2). This is now my "go to" ink for all my art projects. It can be thinned for different shades of grey. Is water resistant not water prof, this is important because this can be layered and still look good which is not possible with water proof inks. Lightens only slightly with erasure, but since it is not waterproof this can be fixed. Smells strongly of dirt, (didn't know that was possible) but the smell goes away when dry.

Just used this tonight and is does a wonderful job. Its dark, doesnt smell and a wonderful tool!

This is a nice black ink. I've only just started using a dip pen and ink for drawings before applying watercolor but even after letting dry for eighteen (18!) hours I still get smears even when applying tiny amounts of water to smooth and blend watercolor pencil. I wouldn't even try any sort of heavy water application. I can still use this for pieces I don't intend to use water on, but the search continues for a truly waterproof ink. If that's not something you care about, it seems to flow well and looks good.
