Cheap, long lasting, good grip until it rains
This tire is pretty awesome. I've got about 5000 miles on it now and there is some indication of wear, but not enough to call it squaring off. When I installed the tire, I remember being impressed with the thickness of the tire compared to my dunlop qualifiers. The bike (2005 GSX-R750) turns in much faster on this rear (with a dunlop qualifier front) than it did with the previous mathing set of dunlops. Even pilot road 4s and pilot powers feel like I'm driving a truck compared to this tire. Grip throughout a turn is predictable and strong, and doesn't diminish in rain as much as any other tire I've ridden on.In fact, the only drawback to this tire is that is has almost 0 grip when upright in the rain. It's an odd experience being able to drag knee when it's sprinkling, then have no rear brake when you stand the bike back up. That is a pretty big drawback, but on the street, with a good front tire to move water out of the way of the rear, it actually doesn't cause that many problems.Edit: I ended up putting almost 20,000 miles on this tire before I replaced it. That's 70% commuting, 15% road trips, 15% "spirited" riding, and the tire STILL wasn't showing cords. Definitely a good buy if you don't ride in the rain much.

Smooth and quiet on a ST1300A
Replaced a worn out Road Pilot 4 on a Honda ST1300A with this tire. Night and day difference! This tire, after a short run-in is smooth and pretty neutral. At first it wanted to really dive into turns but has turned into an nice, stable front that doesn't seem to notice the pavement grooves and stripe paint when you cut across them at small angles. The RP4 was very twitchy over the same stuff. It was shot, with a pretty square cross-section, so some of that is on the wear. The Trans-Euro is a heavy bike so we'll see how fast this wears. For the price, if I get 6k miles out of it I'll be happy.

1st tire was out of round, replacement tire was perfect
09 vmax...replaced the worn-out front Metzeler 888 looking for better grip since I ride a little aggressive. Right away I noticed a side-to-side wobble with the Shinko. Broke down the tire, spun it, rebalanced it, same thing. Take your hands off the bars at high speeds and it gets scary.UPDATE...the seller Chapparrell Motorsports did a great job contacting the manufacturer and secured me a replacement tire. I had to get a different tire in the interim, another Metzeler 888, so in about 6 months I'll do another update when the new Shinko is installed. I'll keep my fingers crossed since I do like the grip of the Shinko.10/21/2021...installed the replacement tire today. All went well. Tire didn't need any weight to balance and was pretty smooth at 100+mph. I ordered another Shinko as I plan on running these tires from now on.

Awesome tire! What a world of difference from the factory Bridgestone tires that came on the bike. I have these on my 2005 Yamaha Warrior. Steering is more precise and confidence inspiring. I can turn in a little later, lean it a little harder and accelerate earlier on bends. tread pattern is more sportier but looks great on my bike. After a few months of use, wear seems better than the factory tires. Highly recommended.

Great for grip.
Bought this tire for my 2009 Yamaha Vmax. Tim Nash ecu flashes, air box mod, voodoo 4 into 2 exhaust and power commander dialed in every 250 rpm. My max could not get traction until I got this tire. No more Battlax’s for me. I’m buying Shinko, even if it only last 6 months!!

Long treadwear. Great handling.
I easily get two years out of these front tires. One year out of the rears. They are not track tires nor are they for carving out the twisties at high speeds. They do provide predictable handling and great value per mile. I will keep buying these.

Very reliable
Great tire for the price. I get about 7000 miles from it, this is the 4th one I've purchased for my daily driven bike.
