Ballistic SX0945-M355 SG Maxx Case with Holster for iPhone 5, Black Silicone/Black TPU/Red PC - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Black/Red

I did a lot of research on cases before finally deciding to get the Ballistic SG Maxx. My main reasons were the high degree of protection (4 layers ... 1. Silicone bumper, 2. User replaceable plastic screen protector, 3. Hard plastic impact body "clip" (for the lack of a better word, 4. Hard plastic belt clip holster) AND the fact that this version offered a user replaceable screen protector!I fell in love with the Bodyguardz Pure tempered glass screen protector and knew I was purchasing it for my iphone 5. I simply had to find a case that worked with it. It was definitely a leap of faith choosing the right case but, I couldn't be happier with my decision.The Ballistic SG Maxx and Bodyguardz Pure work together flawlessly! The case IS amazing! I got the all black version, which does tend to attract and show lint and dust but it is easily wiped off. I haven't accidentally dropped my phone yet but, I have puposely dropped it just to feel comfortable with its level of protection. Right after putting the case I my phone I had no hesitation in dropping it due to the obvious protection the case offers. The level of protection is impressive to say the least. AND, paired with the Bodyguardz Pure tempered glass screen protector I feel even more at ease that my phone is safely protected. Plus, the plastic screen protector that comes with the case is slightly opaque which takes away from the beautiful iphone display. I'm happy that the screen protector was replaceable. I didn't even consider using it after deciding to use the Bodyguardz Pure.The case even comes with a belt clip holster that is well built even if it is a bit bulky. I've never been a belt holster type of guy. I tried it out for the first week and have stopped using it since. The belt clip holster is advertised as this case's 4th layer of protection as you insert the phone screen-first into the holster but, it's a tank of a holster and could never see dropping the phone and holster together at the same time.Button access and operation is great. I would highly recommend this case, check out the YouTube videos...these are what helped me choose this case...ESPECIALLY the one where they throw a phone in the case at a brick wall!!!

This is a fabulous phone protector. Yes, it does increase the size of your phone a tad. Yes, it does increase the weight a tab. So what? Just yesterday, I dropped my phone three times and once on a hard surface with this case performing with flying colors. This case will protect your phone from just about anything. However I use the case without the screen guard provided by Ballistic. Instead, I bought a clear screen protector from Zagg which meets military specs for helicopter blades and the combination is just right. I also don't feel the need to use the holster that came with the case though it is a very good holster. One little note, when you pull your lightning cord from the Iphone 5, please make sure the case flap that protects this port is out of the way.FYI, I had bought a cheapo case from a national electronics retailer hoping that it would do the trick. Actually it costs the same as this one, but was very limited and could not really protect the phone from any kind of drop. Then I bought another case--the Ballistic LS0955-M355 Ballistic LS Smooth--from Ballistic itself and found out that (a) Ballistic charges list prices from their website and you end up paying an exorbitant price for an inferior product. The Ballistic LS0955-M355 Ballistic LS Smooth offers no protection from a drop when the bottom of your phone hits an obstacle because the silicon stuff is too loose and just pushes right out of the way of any kind of obstacle your phone may hit.I returned that one and bought this one which I am evaluating--the Ballistic SX0945-M355 SZG Maxx and am absolutely delighted with my purchase. It is well designed and well thought through. It is guaranteed to take a 15 foot drop without any problems, and all the Iphone 5 ports, buttons, cameras, speakers are easily accessible without any problem whatsoever.

For those of you like me running around with a release day iphone 5s and really really need a shock proofcase, this is perfect. My finger print scanner works just fine and I do not worry about dropping my phone too much anymore because this case is comfortable and provides a great amount of protection. I just dont like the included screen guard and I opt for the invisible shield. Right know i am using the zagg HD but i have placed an order for their extreme and i hope it would not interfere with this case (i will post an update once i try it out). This is perfect and it is much cheaper on amazon! i got it for $15 and on their actual website it was going for $40. I have prime so shipping is outta the question. This case will protect your iphone 5s or 5 with no problems. I was hesitant to purchase this for my 5s because it was still knew and there arent a lot of review for the cases, but this a very well built case for the iPhone 5s. I climb in and out of an ambulance almost daily and I no longer worry about drops and the included holster is comfortable and really does add another layer of protection. if you are in the field with an iphone 5s i suggest this case if you do not need anything thats waterproof, this case is perfect for us!

I always get comments on my case at work, I work in construction so I needed a good protective case and I didn't want an otterbox, and something with a bit of style, also I had a budget in mind when buying a protective case. I have dropped my phone from about 6 feet at the most many times and protects my phone great! Can't go wrong with this protective case, especially with its cheap price. The case is very durable but I do have one complaint and at the bottom above the charging port theres a thin piece of rubber its quite flimsy, it hasn't broken off or anything but it would be nice to see it reinforced with some metal or hard plastic inside the piece of rubber!
