Amazing green Ooolong
This Jade Oolong is by far one of the strangest and best teas I've ever had, though quite enjoyable. It starts with the fact that the dry tea has a very unique smell. It's almost like the smell of asparagus and Brussels sprouts, mixed with some tart and tangy green tea smell. The dry tea leaves are rolled into tight little balls, similar to dragon pearls tea, but they are not as regular as the latter one. And it is amazingly green, which explains the name Jade Oolong. At the beginning, the brewed tea has a very pale yellow color, but when it sits a bit in the tea pot, it darkens and turns into a clear, light orange. It has a very grassy, flowery smell with what I may call a hint of mothball. And when I say hint, I really mean, it's just an undertone, an allusion to mothball, not at all disturbing, but rather interesting. The brewed tea has this complex grassy, vegetable smell as well. And it tastes like that, too. But again, I have to emphasize, it is a rather enjoyable taste. It starts with a sweet grassy flavor, then the asparagus and Brussels sprouts aroma sets in, and then there's a mix of a nutty taste and an almost smokey note. I now recognize the nutty and smokey flavor as what appeared to be a hint of mothball in the scent. It is as if this tea had been slightly fumed--and I believe they do that with this tea.The bottom line: This is a very unusual, yet utterly delicious tea. It has an amazing complexity and it also changes not only in color, but also in taste and intensity, as it sits in the tea pot. It also comes in a most beautifully designed tin can. I just wished they did not put wide-eyed PR BS on it, such as "The process starts at the tea garden where only the most talented tea pickers choose the best leaves." The reality is, tea harvesting and production is a pretty tough and often very exploitative business.

The only downside is how small the tin is.
As a former Teavana employee of many years, I’m very picky about my tea and find it hard to find another tea, especially oolong, that meets my standards. This tea went above and beyond my expectations! It’s both floral and creamy and just light enough. Each step of these leaves is a slightly different flavor, with the first steep being light and floral and the fourth being way more full bodied. This is a wonderful blend and my only complaint is that it’s not sold in larger quantities. I would literally buy a pound of this at a time if not for hating that I have to find a place for another tin just to buy another 3oz. 10/10, do recommend this tea.

Taiwnese Tea is the best tea
I have bought this tea because curiosity, I heard Taiwanese Tea is the best, pulse I like flavor of milk Oolong tea; however, despite the taste of this particular tea is good, it doesn't have that specific milk flavor, unfortunately.

Overpriced Oolong tea with weak flavor - Do not over-infuse - But the box is nice
Oolong is one of the very few green teas I can drink, and while I am not a connoisseur, I have tried quite a number of brands, enjoying some and never reordering the others. This one belongs to the latter category. I've been spoiled with the incredible tea selection in Hong Kong when visiting it multiple times, so I am probably more picky that an average person...It is pricey, and the box is nice, but when you open it, there is zero flavor. Good Oolong teas do have a rather special and easily recognizable flavor even when dry (if the packaging is airtight enough). That was the first disappointment. Then we've infused it properly. The packaging says 3-5 minutes; I would recommend not more than 3, otherwise it gets bitter, i.e. over-infused. It definitely has the taste of Oolong, but the flavor is almost nonexistent even when infused, and the taste is good enough, but nothing to write home about. Given the price, I would not recommend this one...P.S. After several experiments, we have found the approach that works best for us: Infusing in a single-layered, glass French press for 2 minutes only, and use half the recommended dosage, i.e. 2 full teaspoons per 1 liter. That way the tea gets some flavor when infused and is no longer bitter. Still doesn't match up with our favorites.

Disappointed
Just a regular green tea. No fragrance, no milky buttery flavor, and absolutely no taste, taste like plain water. Not worth the money. I love original milk oolong, but this one is just something different nothing close to how is supposed to be.

VERY GOOD COMPANY
The cannister is very lovely and the blossoms are beautiful as they unfold. The company emails complete steeping instructions. I personally did not care for the taste and they refunded my purchase price.
