With the extreme cold of outside and the dry, artificial heat of inside, my lips needed more TLC than my usual matte lip shades but more color than a chapstick. I am fair-skinned with dark red hair, so going without color leaves me looking very washed out. These lip crayons are the perfect solution, with a thick enough formula to provide some therapeutic moisture and a barrier from the harsh, wintry environment. The color fades evenly and is easy to apply, I don't feel like I need five minutes and a bunch of q-tips to get a clean look. Even better, if lips are already dry, this doesn't settle into lines or create any flakiness, it's buttery and comfortable. I've come back to pick up another color (Redwood Forest) and maybe another!

This has the best pigment ever! I don’t care how much it cost, i definitely always come back for more. My only thing is, it constantly rubs off! There’s no smell though, its pretty durable, it’s easy to just put on, you get what you pay for!

The lipstick came damaged but Amazon sent me out a replacement and that one was good. Been using this particular lip crayon for years. Love the color and the fact that it’s natural and cruelty free. It also doesn’t dry out my lips like some other brands do.

When I walk on sunny days, I put on sunblock and then smudge on some of this product as a blush. It works great. All of the lipsticks by Burts Bees are great, but I use this one the most.

I love the "lip crayons" of Burt's Bees - they aren't too drying, they do last a long time, and I have Hawaiian Smolder & Niagara Overlook already.Overall I give the "Burt's Bees lip crayon" product line five stars.However, I looked at the Napa Vineyard lip crayon color as pictured on the model with "fair skin" on Amazon and I thought it would work well with my skin tone. So I went ahead and purchased it through Amazon.com since I cannot find it locally *anywhere*. Unfortunately, it was *very* bright. A lovely color but not on myself. <sigh> (Hence the 4 stars.)However, Niagara Overlook is a perfect match for me.

Burt's Bees products are generally great quality and this is no different. I was expecting it to be a little more purple-red or burgandy-ish like a wine color but it seemed a little more lighter red. I am keeping it because I assume they won't take it back after I've tried it but it's not exactly the color that I was expecting although the color is not bad at all. Just not as dark as I wanted it to be. It goes on very smooth and isn't sticky or clumpy. It doesn't really have a smell or taste either which I really like. There isn't the regular Burt's Bees minty feel to it either which I am very happy about. I will buy more of these and try to find the color I am looking for because I do like the quality of the pencil.
