Ordered these because I could not get the 10 I needed with the bearings (commonly called the platen roller kit). Thought it would be a big hassle, but turned out to be fine. We have hundreds of these printers so it makes a big difference. First standard needle nose pliers to pop off the c clips. Next use channel lock pliers to push the pin till even with the shaft. The channel locks have an overbite so put the overhang on top of the pin and the bottom on the flat of the shaft. Then use sturdy standard diagonals wire cutters pliers to leverage the pin out of the bearing. The kit does come with a new pin, so don't worry about marring the pin. Then use the channel locks again to push the new pin back in after you start it with your fingers. For only one roller it may not be worth the hassle, but if you are doing multiple rollers it really pays. After about five you can do it about as fast as putting in the kit.
