Create your own or follow her original weavings drafts
By reading about how Bertha Gray Hayes developed her name draft designs, I was able to create my own as well. This is a really great resource whether you are interested in using her drafts or trying to make your own.

Own a vintage Structo? This is a book you MUST own, too!
Bertha Gray Hayes designed her patterns on a Structo Loom. Yes, those little metal looms that were made for toys and which are enjoying a current following among weavers who love small workhorse looms for size and ease of use. Many of her sample cards did not include treadling instructions but computer generated threading AND treadling instructions are included toward the back of the book for most, if not all, of the patterns. This is a must-have for a Structo owner. You have no idea what your loom can do until you see what Ms. Hayes did with her's!

Fabulous!
This is a wonderful publication. I love the miniature overshot patterns. Ms. Hayes drafts are just beautiful. Being able to see photos of her original samples and having the drafts to duplicate is a wonderful thing. FYI the draft tie-ups are set for a rising shed (jack-type loom). Thanks to the people who had the passion to compile her work for the rest of us to enjoy. I'm having so much fun trying out the different patterns. I would highly recommend.

Great book for overshot lovers
I bought this book after many years of finding some patterns of Bertha's in various books. I always liked her patterns and this is a great way to have them. If you like overshot patterns in miniature form this book is for you!It is well illustrated and and easy to understand even if you are a beginner weaver. This is one to have on your shelf for sure.

Perfect for a weaver's library.
See BGH's actual idea cards complete with woven sample, as well as the complete digital draft for most of them. Part weaving history, and part overshot instruction for many now classic designs.

Wonderful collection of designs
When I received this book I was excited as I had heard good things about it. I dived in to look at the patterns and thought 'OH NO! There are no treadling drafts! I need not have worried! The first pattern section show copies of Ms Hayes note cards as they were found. Then later in the book all the patterns are shown with full weaving drafts. At the begining there are chapters on how Ms Hayes developed her weaving, her looms, how she names her unique patterns, how she designed patterns using names, including her own, how she made her notes on sample cards and more. Really interesting stuff which adds more meaning to the patterns. This is a beautiful book with 92 wonderful miniature overshot patterns and will be a perfect, well used resource for any weaver.

Speedy delivery, wonderful book!
My book arrived very quickly, thank you. It's even more amazing than I'd been told it would be. Great info about the author, and illustrations of all her designs but also modern drawdowns of all the designs, including all the information the weaver needs to weave these beautiful overshot designs.
