Kyanite - Kyanite is found in mountainous regions in the United States (Montana and North Carolina), Switzerland, Brazil and Myanmar. It is found in several colors including most commonly blue or black. It is found in a rarer variety of green as well as an even more rare and valuable color of orange. It is found naturally with inclusions of Mica and the most valuable pieces are "In Matrix" in the raw form. The fan like clusters or blades that are naturally formed by Kyanite make it an ideal stone for restoring energy balance. It is a very effective energy conduit that can balance most systems of the body. It can quickly create stillness and tranquility, making it an excellent stone for meditation. Best used in jewelry with copper or silver or carried close to the body it brings loyalty, honesty and tranquility, and diminishes anger and confusion.
