Fender 4-Spring 8-Ohm Spring Reverb Unit 4AB3C1B

This is an awesome pan that sounds great. It’s made by Ruby Tubes and in the USA. Also, most importantly it’s directly soldered to the transducer of the pan rather than plug in like newer Accutronics pans. In the picture I attached it shows a grey Accutronics pan with a plug in style next to the black Fender “ruby tubes” pan with the wires directly soldered to the pan’s transducer. Why is this important? Because the plug in style can pick up 60 cycle hum which causes a buzzing/humming noise that gets louder as you turn up the reverb. This was the problem I had in my Super Reverb. I put this Fender pan in it and it fixed the problem. If you’re not getting enough reverb out of this pan remove the cushion pad under the springs on the pan. It will give it a longer reverb trail.

Sounds great, easy to install.

There is a big difference in build quality of this unit and the cheaper substitutes. This is far superior.

(Update 10/2020) : I have tried new accutronics and mods and prefer this tank. this tank does not feedback on my vintage princeton reverb the way the aforementioned “long” tanks have, and this has an overall nice, deep resonation.is it perfect for me? no, mostly because it’s a bit much past four. but that also seems pretty standard for most of the fender reverb amps I’ve played.Summary: I’ve been mostly happy with this tank. I’d give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.

This is an exact replacement for the OE reverb in a fender deluxe reverb reissue 65. The original had a bad hum, this new one does not and works perfectly.

So happy to fix my 40 year old music man amp.and have reverb work again. Love it

The description of this tank claims it's made by Fender and it's a 4AB3C1B. The tank you'll actually get is made by Ruby Tubes and it's a 2AB1C1B.Oddly the pictures of the item are correct - it's the description that's wrong.The Ruby tank sounds great, but the big difference is that it's a "short" decay time tank. The advertised 4AB3C1B is a "long" decay tank. If you're replacing the stock tank in a Princeton for instance, this delay wont sound the same.Hoping Amazon will fix the mistake.

These ruby tubes tanks are LEAGUES better then any MOD or other available ones I've tried from recently.
