Black Pine 8 Great Tent
Easy and quick to setup and take down. Black Pine storage bag is generously made so putting the tent in the bag is very easy. Black Pine has thought out how to make setup and take down intuitive, plus the addition attached buckles for quick folding and storage of the tent. Used the tent in good weather, so have not tested the rain fly. Typical of tent manufacturers the sleeping of 8 people means no gear in the tent and you would very close together.

Terribly Disappointed
After waiting for two years to buy a Turbo Tent, I was totally jazzed to be able to buy one. With excitement, we set up our tent and tested it out, hoping for the durability of the tent to exceed our expectations. Less than 12 hours later, we had several holes in the tent floor and many more places where the black flooring was wearing away and becoming worn and frayed. We always took our shoes off and wore our socks in the tent. We had a sturdy tarp under our tent that we've used many times over under our former Coleman tent to help prevent wear and tear on the Turbo Tent floor.I was shocked to see that where we had our soft-sided suitcases/duffle bags stored under our cots and to see that where we had been walking in the walkway, had worn places and several small holes torn in the floor. Granted we were walking on rocks and trees roots, but that's why we put a tarp under the tent. Never in 7 years did we have wear marks or holes develop in our Coleman tent and we used our duffle bags/suitcases the same way under our cots, sliding them out when we needed them. After I discovered the holes and wear-marks, I had everyone unload their suitcases/duffle bags (four of them) and store their clothes for the week under the cots, so we could prevent more wear-marks and holes in the floor. There were also two places where the zipper wasn't fully sewn all the way across. One place on the privacy tent and one place where the screen door is sewn to the zipper. I called customer service and they said it was no problem and should hold up. They said they would replace the tent for free if problems developed. I appreciate their customer service, but it was frustrating to have TWO places where stitching was faulty. This tent is supposed to be the "luxury" tent of tents, but it sure has not held up to the craftmanship of a luxury tent. I spent more on this tent then I did on our Coleman tent that lasted us 7 years without problems and didn't have one faulty stitch. There was condensation, to be expected, on the inside of the tent, even with both upper-window fully opened. We had to leave the front door, partially unzipped at night, to prevent condensation. The nice part was the tent stayed warm. The down-side is some of the silver-lining also wore off in one place. The tent wasn't necessarily any faster for us to put up than our Coleman pole, standard pitch-tent. It still took an hour to set up, with the rain-fly included and roughly the same taking it down.I'm saddened that my Turbo Tent has to be returned. I'm afraid to buy another one for fear of the flooring wearing off and looking junky inside the tent as well as getting holes in the tent floor again.I'm giving the tent 3 stars because the craftsmanship of the tent is better than most, minus the places where the zipper wasn't fully sewn. I really want to give the tent 1 star because of the holes and wear marks that developed in the floor, but there are other things about the tent that are well-made and deserve 3 stars.I don't know if this tent has serviced others better because they were camping on grass or pine-needles, but the kind of camping we do in California state parks always has rocks and tree-roots on the campspots. Just beware that the floor has the potential of wearing through quickly.

We love our Turbo Tent!
(Would have given 4 1/2 out of 5 stars if possible, but it's not, so I had to do 4.) We have had this tent for 3-4 years, and are very happy with it. Have taken it out a few times each summer and it has served us well, including a very heavy downpour along the Washington Coast (Kalaloch), where it did not leak at all. Sets up very fast. The ThermoGuard lining works well at keeping heat in at night better than the lighter weight backpacking tents we have, but the downside is that this also means that there is a bit of condensation build up on the inside of the tent walls by morning from people breathing at night. Have set the tent up single handed, but it is faster and easier with a helper or two. Packing it up alone is more challenging, but not impossible. At first we were hesitant to spend the money for this tent when we could have bought something else for significantly less money, but since we were replacing a cheaper tent that had sustained broken and cracked fiberglass poles and ripped fabric in a windstorm, we decided to make an investment in something much more solidly built. We are so glad that we did, and expect to get many more years of use out of it. It says it is an 8 person tent, which technically you could probably squish in, but we use it for our family of 4 when car camping, and it is great for that. Our air mattresses and backpacks/duffels of clothes fit with no problem. There would be reasonable room for 6 if gear was outside. Haven't tried it in the snow (and don't have any particular plans to), but I would say that it is easily a 3 season tent, and maybe even a 3+ season tent. I'm giving it 4 1/2 stars, with a 1/2 star taken off for the amount of condensation build up inside, even with the top vents open all night. (BTW, my wife and I plan on continuing to use this tent when our boys are grown up and gone. We will sleep in the back part, and put a couple of chairs and a small table in the front part and have it like a covered porch.)

This is the best Tent I've ever owned
This is the best Tent I've ever owned...its everything they say it is and more...easy to set up, and easy to take down, folded it promptly and went right back in the bag for the trip home. I did buy a tarp for underneath when setting it up so the bottom of this tent had some sort of protection, I want to keep it nice for many years.

This is a very well made tent. Use to have a Coleman tent but customer service was very poor. Also, certain parts of tent were poorly made. This company makes a very good product.
