It will plug up occasionally. Easily reopened with a safety pin. Does not seem to dry out as quickly as some. Removes easily with a latex eraser.

I just got this product and tried it today in a painting. I used the easy aplicator to add the masking fluid on the tops of the branches. It was a simple squeeze and it was running out smoothly. The application was super easy and when finished with the painting it was removed with ease. No smell and no issues. I can't say yet how long it lasts without drying up, but I will provide an update on that later.

It’s not latex based new to me come in nice application bottle just found out about it this year 1st time I’ve tried it works great but pricey but I would definitely buy it again and maybe try the larger size next time I got this brand to test it out

Good masking fluid. Perfect for small lines.

It's kind of tricky getting a straight smooth edge. Other than that, it removes easily from good quality paper. I will buy more as long as i do watercolor painting!!!

I thought the tip would be fine enough for applying directly from the bottle but the size and consistency weren’t consistent, and it’s allowing too much out so you end up with chunky lines that take forever to cure. Actually performed better on pulp paper than cotton and cotton blend paper, but was a total fail on Canson XL for me. Worked really well on Bee and GenCraft pulp paper. Didn’t perform as well as plain old rubber cement did. ’m going to have to go back to applying with a tool which is disappointing.

There is a bit of a learning curve with this. You have to apply it in small amounts and then gently burp the air out of it or it will come out as a bubble in the middle of a line. That aside, I love this stuff! And I don't have to choose a brush to ruin to apply it. That's right there is worth the price of admission.

Product can get bubbles if trying to do very fine lines. Easy to use. Works great.

I used this masking fluid to block out parts of a mushroom painting so that I could later come back and finish details on white spots. The blue in the picture is the masking fluid. The fact that it comes in a rudimentary pen type of dispensing tool helped a lot! I still used my brush to spread it but it was much easier than it would normally be with masking fluid in a large container — especially because masking fluid dries quit quickly. The picture of the mushroom with white spots was taken right after I removed the masking fluid (I later painting in details on the white spots). The masking fluid came our very easily with a rubber.

This masking fluid is the best I have ever tried. It has no ammonia, and while that smell does not bother me -- it means my art surface is not subjected to a somewhat strong chemical substance.So -- like all Schmincke products (yes, I'm a fan of that company) -- this is great stuff!
