I have been struggling with my 10 year old son and we have just been at each other's throats a lot. I asked him if he would want to do something like this with me and he agreed. Thai has been the BEST week we have had in a very long time. We have connected more, and he's excited to discuss topics with me. We pass this back and forth nightly. We have incorporated this book into his bedtime routine. I recommend this to anyone! I need to order one for my 8 year old daughter now too!

My 9 year old son likes to write notes back and forth with me. I saw this journal and thought it would be a perfect Christmas gift. He was very excited when he saw it and wanted to get started journaling right away.

I wasn’t sure if my technology addicted 9 year old would give this the time of day or not, but I’m pleasantly surprised! He loves the silliness of some of the prompts and the mix between drawing and writing answers. My only reason for putting 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish there were more blank pages or spaces to write non-scripted text. Overall, LOVE IT. Great mother-son bonding.

Great gift for me and my boy.

I bought this for my son and I to do, and honestly it sat there for a while untouched.... But one day I picked it up and decided to start it. I loved the cute age appropriate prompts for us to fill out... Almost like really getting to know each other. He started filling his out too and I believe he liked it... Though I'm not sure he read mine. What we will likely do is fill it out first then maybe go over the answers together one evening. It's such a cute idea!

It's a very cute back and forth journal. I have another one that I bought for my eldest son and this is for my youngest. I'm looking forward to doing it with him and has great age appropriate activities. It is in American English, but doesn't really interfere with the usability for those of us in the UK. I'm very happy with it.
