Anti bark tool
10-9-19 . Update will follow. I just received oyefly bark repellent to see if it could help curb my unruly dogs. I’ve trails the training shock collars, which do work. But they constantly need the collar on. And what if the first time you don’t put on, maybe off to recharge. There is no way to get control when needed. With Olefly anti-bark handheld training wand( lack of another word) there is no need for collars. And multiple dogs can be controlled at the same time. First time I used, my dogs which normallly pull me when we go out to their “spot” walked right by myside. Squirrels they usually charge after or bark out, they didn’t. Though they stared at them, they didn’t make a sound. So far so good. Olefly. One tool, multi use, = a more enyoyable relaxing time outside with your 4-legged buddies. Update: I have friend who my puppies Aleatz jumped in scratched. This doohickey really helped. I gave him the gizmo and told him press the button, having preset to middle mode and kept puppies from jumping and unintentional scratching. This device at 5.99 at time of purchase, wow! Kept them from jumping; sat in front of him waited as he controlled this gadget. This by far exceeds the expectations of what this states it does. Out performs any shock-collar system. Buy this while still available. Enclosed is a demo after having this awhile . Dogs have gotten used to it, but still obey to a degree. They don’t jump when friends come over, or obey to a simple no. With the two light moods a high pitched whistle can be heard when close to one’s ear. I don’t know what dog hears. At night, the flashing light catches their attention. A simple 9 volt device, and dog doesn’t need to wear a special collar. Having two dogs both can be corrected/controlled at same time. It minimalizes barking, but if their are too frantic, they aren’t paying attention to hear a whistle. Some kind of reward, after device activation may stave off misbehavior quicker.

So cheap, doesn't work anymore
This is poorly constructed with cheap materials, mine is broken after less than 2 weeks. I was a little hesitant to use it right away, I just wanted to make sure I had the right conditions so I could buzz my dog when he would really understand. It seemed to work initially. However, within 2 weeks it has stopped working. There's a cheap tab that you're supposed to use to toggle between the 3 modes, then you press the button to get it to activate in that mode. There's a light mode and 2 ultrasonic dog modes. The light doesn't work in the light mode and the toggle feels like it's not doing anything. Don't waste your money.

Works great for over-sized puppy as well as spoiled cats wanting to be fed every 3 hours
Works great. Dogs back off and cower (except one) and cats don't like it, either. I bought it because we have a 4 month old mastiff-pitbull mix who's sweet but hyper. I'm a senior citizen and concerned if he's not trained now when he's relatively small at around 40 lbs. that when he's full grown he'll knock me over with his uncontrolled behavior. I don't want to be mean, but he needs to learn. This device has helped tremendously. He backs off immediately and has even begun to react when he sees it, before I even push the button. When my spoiled two cats want to eat every few hours, I've found giving them a jolt sends them running, too. We have two other dogs besides the "puppy," a husky and a doberman. The husky cowers and the doberman is unimpressed, but he's also not a problem. It's apparent some animals react and others don't, but it works great for me.

won't know if this will work for your dog until you try it.
I bought this handheld dog trainer device to stop my two dogs from barking while we are camping. Every time someone walks or rides bikes past our campsite my dogs immediately start barking. It's even worse when others are walking their dog(s) and go past our site. The first time I used the device, both dogs were excessively barking, I said "no bark" and pressed the button on the device. My female dog immediately stopped barking and ran scared, straight to the RV door. It was very apparent she heard the sound emitted from the device and she definitely did not like it. However it didn't have any affect on my Male dog. Next time I used the device, when I told them "no bark" before I touched the device, the female came running to me and jumped into my lap. But again, the Male dog kept on barking. I even tried set the device on the higher intensity, when only the Male was outside barking and he continued to bark. It's clear after using the device several times, while it worked to stop my female, it had ne affect on my Male dog. There's no guarantee it will work on all dogs as seen with my two. So, you won't know until until you try it. Definitely worth my time and money ($7.00).

Works on SOME dogs and NOT on others.
Several months ago I bought one of these to see if it might actually help anyone with their dog training. First I tried it on my mom's Bichon Frise that barks incessantly when visitors come...and continues long after she has been greeted. That worked right from the start. Months later it is still effective for that dog. So I bought a bunch to give out at Christmas. The second test was my niece's rescue mutt that generally tries to bite my head off when I am invited into her house and has to be crated because she won't stop trying to attack. The dog's first response made it clear that it is aware of the noise....and then it completely ignored it and the device has not had any further effect on the dog's crazy behavior since. It's not effective for all dogs, but may be a good training tool for small or submissive dogs. One drawback is that it should not be used in the presence of more than one dog, so you're not giving multiple dogs a negative signal when only one is presenting an undesired behavior.

So far so good
As others have mentioned, instructions are in engrish. Labels molded into the yellow plastic next to the mode switch are all but impossible to see. There are three positions: first position (full forward) is flashlight only, second position is for sound plus flashing light, third position is for sound only. Not sure if there is a difference between the sound frequency and volume level in the second vs third position since it is not audible to humans. The button on the opposite side of the device triggers the sound (assuming the switch is in position two or three). So far this device is working for us: really gets the dog's attention when she's doing something wrong. In my case, this is when my dog starts growling or otherwise acting aggressive during a walk when we approach other dogs. Momentary press of the button (in my coat pocket) and the dog immediately stops growling and looks around at me. Only took a couple of times before the dog started associating the annoyance with her behavior and seems less apt to even start up. I have noticed that the device does not always get the other dog's attention though. My thinking is that perhaps dogs, like people, start to loose their high frequency hearing as they get older: so perhaps the sound just does not register with some dogs based on age or perhaps just the quality of their hearing. This *might* also explain some of the negative reviews. No idea about the durability of the device as we've only had it a week.

This little device has completely saved me
This product works exactly as described. Because of my job I wanted to make sure I could rely on this device working ALL of the time. I kept notes and used it on 21 dogs in a 30 day period. All breeds and sizes. 19 of the dogs instantly stopped barking and walked away a few feet. Two of the dogs did not. I believe it is because they were deaf. This product seems to be most successful when used within 10 feet of a dog. It’s a little unclear, looking at the device, which setting is for what. However, I found that the third setting on the right is the one that works to keep dogs away and to make them stop barking. The middle setting doesn’t seem to do anything but I’m probably not understanding what it is for. I have used the device for 3 1/2 months and have not needed to change the 9volt battery. I am a delivery driver and after being attacked several times I’m horrified when I pulling up to a house with dogs. This product has completely changed my day-to-day work life.

Waste of money and time as THIS DOES NOT WORK.
If you are looking for something cheap to point at your dog while it laughs at you, this is your product. I bought this with the hopes it would help with training with our lab puppy. I used it the way the tiny instruction packet said. (I actually had to make a photocopy and enlarge it so we could read it.) I dutifully went through the process and would click the button. While my 13 year old said it hurt her ears, the puppy just wanted to lick it... and then bark at it. I am returning this item and will now shuck out more $$ for something that actually works. I only gave this one star for most things as zero starts were not an option. The only 2 start rating is for the amount of times the puppy succeeded knocking it out of my hand to the floor. It didn't break.... but it didn't fix whatever didn't work either.
