According to the steps in the manual, press 7 to adjust to 1 and then MPH, then test it is not allowed, my car speed 20MPH, display 26MPH, I don't like it!

8 Month Update - I did eventually play with the calibration offset and the speed reported is now pretty spot-on no matter what speed I am going...at worst it is 1mph off but usually just for a second or two...not uncommon for any digital gps readout imo. Bumping my rating up to 5 stars...this has been a great unit and it is now part of my normal driving routine.****************************************************************************************My 2016 Q50, in Infiniti's infinite wisdom, doesn't have a digital speed readout. I like to put my steering wheel in such a way that it blocks most of the analog speedometer. I tried another hud that projected on the windshield but it was unreadable in the day, so I went with this one as it has its own screen. Only problem is that because of how my dash is formed, i can't put it in the traditional spot. Instead I put it on the steering column and it's actually a perfect spot. The speed reads out in a clearly visible location and doesn't block much of anything else on my cluster. It's easily readable in any light condition, and the sticky pad seems to be holding it in place just fine. It does move around a little but I'm able to quickly readjust it if needed be...a more permanent solution is in the works.Only gripe I have is that I've found the speed loses accuracy at higher speeds. I still need to see if the offset calibration can fix this. This isn't a huge deal for me, i really just wanted this to give me a general idea of my speed, but would be great if i can get dialed in. Other than that, pretty satisfied with this unit.

This is an useful gadget to add to any car. It provides valuable information which fewer and fewer new cars have. For example voltage, oil temperature, coolant temperature, etc. In the past I've been stuck twice with dead batteries because the alternator had failed but the car was not giving any warnings.The unit can be also used as a OBDII diagnostic scanner. It reads basic trouble codes and allows clearing them. It does not support special codes like airbags and ABS but it is still useful if the check engine light comes on.I use mostly the 6 parameter screen that gives speed, RPM, elapsed time, miles driven, coolant temp and voltage. The last two parameters are customizable. I with all 6 were since I do not need speed and RPM on this unit - my car's dash already provides them.It would have been better if the cable was not flat, stiff and hard to route. The unit draws very little power, no need for this cable. The round type of cable found in USB cords would have been much better.Nevertheless, I still like the unit and plan to purchase another one for my daughter's car.

The unit works great as a speedometer. Chose this over one of the projection/heads up type. It is always visible regardless of the sun and its finish matches my interior almost exactly. While others may not be lucky enough for this to match, it is still inconspicuous compared to the reflective film that you have to use with the heads up type displays.My car does not have a digital speedometer and the way I sit/drive, I can never see the top half of my stock gauge. I only wanted this so I could have a speed displayed in my field of view while watching the road. It can do so much more. It has multiple display layouts and can function as an OBD2 code scanner as well.The only con is it doesn't come with adaquate instructions. I still do not know all of the capabilities. There are no eplanations of the interactions available through your cars OBD2 connector. I did not deduct a star because a little google-fu will surely yeild answers. I just cycled through the menu and was able to figure out the basics within a few minutes. Had to adjust the speed after first test drive. It was 2 mph high and I was willing to live with it, but there's a setting in the menu to fine tune it.

Purchased this for my mother because she sits so close and straight up to the steering wheel she can't see the stock speedometer.This little speedometer screen is very easy to read and ready to set up.The little sticky back pad it goes on to sadly does not hold it on very well in the hotter months, but at night and colder months it does just fine holding it on the dash.After a little bit of fine tuning to the speedometer speed sensitivity it read the correct speed we were traveling at. Before we fine tuned it, it was about 5 to 7 miles per hour over what we were actually traveling at, but it was a simple fix within the speedometer while driving. I suggest having a passenger do the adjustment while you are driving to get it just right. 1. Better accuracy 2. You don't wanna crash!!I would highly recommend this item.

Works good in my 2009 Subaru Outback and very easy to set up. Just plug it into the OBDII port and it's ready to go. The bright display is easy to read even on sunny days, and can be dimmed at night. I have only a few small complaints. The accuracy is a little off at higher (60+ mph) speeds. When it reads 80mph on the display, my car speedometer says I'm only going 76. There is supposed to be a tachometer on the display, but I can't get it to work. In GPS mode there is a lot of fluctuation, but it's close enough to give you a general idea of what speed you are doing.

Easy installation and works great.I try to adjust the speed follow the guide,very easy to set up and use.This is the best product I’ve purchased in a long time. Love it!!!when the dashboard shows 60mph, it shows 61mph, looks reasonable for safety drive, not a chance to overspeed. The manual and product page both shows how to adjust minimize the difference, easy to get it. nice product.

This product was purchased to help a person with Macular Degeneration. Usually the speedometer in set into the dash board and there's not enough light to be looking down quickly to check your speed. This unit is easily installed and projects the reading onto a screen that is bright and easily seen. The person says he is more than satisfied with the unit. The price was right too. Thanks.
