Great net! This is my second betts super pro. I couldn’t find 1/4” locally after driving to multiple locations, so I went with amazon. It seemed crazy to “prime” a bucket of lead but it was certainly better than continuing the futile search locally. At 8’ you have to know how to throw it — size and weight. The 1/4” does sink noticeably slower than the 1/2” version, but you don’t gill the bait fish and shrimp with it.

We had to add weights to this throw net so it would sink faster otherwise fish just escape from under the net.

The attachements at the lead line began to unravel after just 7 uses. Multiple areas of the lead line attachment had to be fixed with securing monofilament. I would not purchase this net again! No snags, only beach and sand flat use! Not even used 10 times!

Very good net!! The small nuisance fish can still escape but the perfect size bait fish are trapped everytime.
