Matzuo X-Tra Wide Gap J-Bend Hook (Pack of 25), Red Chrome, 1/0

I purchased the blood red hooks and the only downfall is the paint wears out fast. But when they do it is because I am catching fish. But other than that they are very sharp and strong. I get a really good hook set with these.I have heard some guys swear the red color helps entice bites more than a black hook and I wonder if there is something to that? There are days when the only thing I will see in the water reflecting back at me is the hook and if I can see it better the bass can too. Plus one of my fav colored soft plastics is a watermelon with red flks and the hook works well with that color.
