After 6 months pump seems to be doing alright. The built in check valve is absolute junk though. Leaked back into the well from first day installed causing pump to cycle several times a day without anyone using any water. Now the valve has failed completely. As soon as the pump cycles off, pressure tank dumps back into the well causing a very bad water hammer. If you use this pump, add an additional check valve right on top of the pump. This is the answer that customer service gave mePump stopped working after a year. Motor start capacitor failed
