180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl pressing. Features a gatefold sleeve and includes a bonus LP with 12-bonus tracks. Tindersticks is an English alternative rock band formed in 1991 by Stuart Staples, Dave Boulter, Neil Fraser, Dickon Hinchliffe, Al Macaulay and John Thompson. In 1993 they released their first self-titled album, and the following years they recorded several albums, documentaries and film soundtracks. During the 90s Tindersticks stood apart with their dark, literary lyrics and melancholy orchestrations and were a different breed as both the British indie scene and the Brit-Pop sound dominated the UK charts. Their fourth album 'Simple Pleasures' steered the group into snappier and lighter songs, however the liner notes proved that the recording process was a painstaking experience. The respectful cover of Odyssey's 'If You're Looking For A Way Out' is a perfect example of their new influences by soul, gospel and jazz music. This Music On Vinyl Expanded Edition features the original album (9 Tracks) and no less than 12 bonus tracks, including 'Twisted Wheel' (which is the demo version of 'Can We Start Again') and the Adrian Sherwood remix of 'I Know That Loving'.

Long overdue vinyl re-release
Long overdue re-release of Simple Pleasures, on gorgeous glossy black 180 gm vinyl. Aside from the original album, there's a whole second LP of demos, remixes etc. And hars off to Music on Vinyl, whose pressings are amongst the very best - no hissing, no popping, just superb quality.

Amazing... Word up!
I first heard this album during a terrible/diabolical relationship. The realationship lasted a couple of years and was a mind numbing siege but my love for and appreciation of this album has never wavered!I have had my eye on this vinyl for a while but I never felt a right time to ante up and buy it! I have and I'm so glad I did. This pressing is quite literally superb and enjoyable in every way! The pick of the bunch for me is 'Pretty Words' and Stuart Staples vocals are worth the price of purchase for that song alone!I listened to it with my 18 y/o son (the first vinyl album we've sat through together so that was nice) and he thought it was a great album!Brilliant & melancholy.
