Amgate Set of 2 Pcs ~ Stainless Steel Yerba Mate Tea Bombilla Gourd Drinking Straw Filtered 7.2"

I drink mate pretty much daily and these bombillas always work great. I keep one for work and one for home. The spoon shape helps to scoop out the used mate when you are cleaning your cup. I love the simplicity and the fact that they are metal help you gauge how hot the mate will be before you burn the roof of your mouth. Rule of thumb: if the bombilla is too hot to touch, the tea is too hot to drink. More traditional wood or bamboo bombillas won't let you do this. Over all, I'm very happy with this product.

I wish I could find a straw that came apart for cleaning. The metal also is very hot on the lips with even the first sip. I don't brew my yerba mate boiling, I follow the directions and don't let the temperature get so hot that it makes the tea bitter (if you have tried before and thought you didn't like yerba mate, it wasn't brewed properly). Anyway, these do what they are supposed to do but I am skeptical about what may be growing inside since I can't open them up to clean them and now I know that I have used them I feel I will continue the search for one that has a separate mouthpiece.

these stainless steel yerba mate straws were exactly what i wanted. My family is from Argentina and if you know anything about argentina is they drink ALOT of mate, its almost strange how much mate we drink. So anyway, we use these straws daily and having a few extra pair to replace used ones is what we needed. They worked well. the mate passed through them without any issue and the tea leaves did not get through the filter part of the straw. Im overall very pleased with my purchase and glad i got them. I would recommend these for any mate drinker.

These are my first bombillas. I'm hoping they used food grade steel for this, I'm only giving it 4 stars because one of mine came with a few black scratches, but I'm shrugging that off as a minor cosmetic defect.So these are fairly simple in construction, but they seem to be sturdy enough for now. I'm happy with these straws for now, but I'm hoping to acquire something a little more decorative in the future.

Infuser or strainer is larger than what I expected but I'm satisfied..would buy again for the price.

Get very hot when tea is hot

Good strong strainer straw. Holds up to lots of abuse. I've tucked them away on backpacking trips way into a heavy pack, I thought they would bend for sure, but everything held up great. Bought a second set. Quite happy with the quality. Also makes drinking any loose leaf teas very easy. Great straws.

Bottom part would come out eventually after daily use, could be fixable with once or twice of little hammering. Other than average bambillo
