These chrome latches are very small, the photo makes them look bigger misleading big. And as for mounting them, they are worthless.The smooth side isnt magnetic whatsoever, there are only two small metal strips inside them that are actually magnetic so the only way for them to stick to each other without your door getting stuck shut is to mount one upside down and the other with the smooth side facing the wrong way, what a load of garbage.

We needed something to keep the front gate closed (and openable) in the simplest possible way. This little magnetic catch has done the trick. The gate stays closed with it and yet is easily opened without need to fiddle with a catch. And the price, under £2! I mean to say, if someone said to you, hey chum will you make me a chrome-plated magnetic door-gate catch and here's £2 for your work, would you take the job?

These were fitted using the original screw holes from the catches taken off. The colour hides these catches well when the cupboard door is opened. The pull rating of these is excellent. It was more than enough to pull to straighten the slight twist in the cupboard door. Now the door looks flush when closed.

I have a folding table with a door to slide the fold up chairs into and the plastic casing of my original catcher fell apart within months of having it- almost as though the magnet was too strong for the casing! This metal item was bought to replace it. It took seconds to install and the screws fit into the existing holes. I just wish I’d bought it sooner as I’ve spent years constantly re-supergluing and cellotaping the old plastic one! Absolutely brilliant item at a fantastic price so would 100% recommend. Very strong too so I’m very very pleased. Thank you.

I’ve read a few reviews saying these aren’t strong enough. I’m not sure what those people are using them for, but I’ve used these for a couple of fairly big kitchen cabinet doors and they’re great. The doors are made from 12mm plywood and have warped slightly, these magnets are strong enough to pull them in line. Overall very happy with my purchase

these catches are ok but the screws that come with them are like cheese, they snap without any effort so be aware

Absolute rubbish ,screws keep snapping and no cordless in sight , save your money . tried to send back but amazon said i'm not entitled for a refund ????

I have used 2 of these. One for the chicken coop door and one on the garden gate. They are absolutely perfect. The door and gate now close with a tough hold from the catch. Excellent product
