Artum Hill Upholstered Bed With Tufted, Padded Headboard, And Platform-Style Base

I looked around for affordable cal king ed frame for awhile and then I chose this one. I read all the reviews and the majority either said that is was perfect or that is was hard to assemble. I was not worried about the assembly because I will only have to assemble it one time. On top of that it was NOT hard to put together and the instructions were good enough since every part is installed very similarly if not exactly the same way. It arrived in a absolutely trashed box but despite that, there is no damage on the frame. The charcoal bed frame looks great and aesthetically I am happy. We have it on a wooded floor and the feet on the bed frame are a hard rubber so it slides a TON but that should be a simple fix. One thing to note is that you should get a box spring. Not because you need it but because of two reasons. 1. It fills in the gap that the tall legs for the headboard makes and looks nicer. (we have a 10in nectar mattress and we ordered a 7in box spring and it fills up the gap and looks great.My only real issue is that it is not sturdy or feel solid. My girlfriend and I weigh roughly a 300lbs combined. When we are moving back and forth on it in a motion that goes from headboard to footboard, the bed frame legs feel, sound and are actually moving from where they mount to the wooden parts of the frame. The two footboard legs are not tight to the board and can wobble with little to no effort even when it is screwed in as tight as possible without stripping the screw. The leg that screws into the headboard is also where the side rails mount to. So as you can imagine since the bed wobbles, the headboard tilts forward and backward and hits the wall over and over again. The wooden support beams that run across the frame to hold the mattress feel alright but since they are as thin as they are, when the bed moves and those legs attached to the support beams are not moving on the ground, the support beam flexes. Oh and one of the legs that goes on the support beams isn't long enough so it hits the floor every time we get on the bed..Conclusion: I am not going to send it back because that would be such a hassle from the disassembly, to the giant boxes needed for boxing back up and I'm not up for the challenge. Plus, we need something to sleep on cause I'm sick of the couch. I am going to get thicker stronger lumber to replace the support beams and legs on the beams. I am going look and see if there are any places to put brackets to reinforce the legs on the outside corners of the bed frame. I am also going to either get a rug or get stickier rubber feet to stop it from sliding.I hope this helped and I am more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding the bed frame.

I finally bought this bed frame after many an hour of amazon reviews.Positives: Great large size bed frame (Cal King) with good upholstery. The central slats have two legs that assist with providing support in the middle of the bed but I put down some plywood to sure up any spots that were less supported. If you put down a few more slats beyond what you get in the package (5 I think) you can probably get away without a foundation/box spring. After putting it together it's very sturdy. Assembly is easy and aside from needing a drill or screwdriver to put in the slats, all you need is an allen wrench that is provided in the package. I assembled it by myself in about an hour or so.Negatives: The Cal King size barely fits my mattress but that could also be an issues with my all foam mattress. If using a drill to put in the slats, you're pretty much going to tear up a little bit of the interior upholstery of the side frames since the drill head will be right up next to it. You won't see this after putting the mattress in though and if you used a screwdriver you could probably avoid it...but it will take way longer that way too.Overall, minor gripes but overall a really good value for a good, sturdy bed frame. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice looking frame, but legs are not the most sturdyI bought this in a California king size (for $230). It was pretty easy for my husband and me to assemble and held together well until we had to move. The new place has concrete floors that the bed frame would slide on and eventually the legs got bent nearly 45 degrees. We were able at attach some L brackets and got a rug under it which seems to fixed it for now.My recommendation would be to spend an extra $20 on some L brackets and add some support to the legs.

For $285, this is a great buy. It comes in one fairly large, but manageable box. Once unpacked, the number of parts can be a bit daunting, as all the bolt and washer parts are mixed in together in the box, but I simply separated them into groups that looked comparable and things were OK. All in, it probably took around 2 hours to assemble this bed - maybe less. The process itself wasn't hard - I've had a much more difficult time assembling kids toys.Once assembled, the bed itself is sturdy. You don't need to buy an extra bed frame to fit inside - the included wood slats work just fine. Similarly, we didn't buy box springs, and our mattress feels just fine. We wanted a bed that was closer to the ground, and this works just fine.Altogether, this bed looks great and it's well built. For the money, it's a steal.

My son had wanted a bedframe for his mattress for months. After researching the options in a local store, we decided to try Amazon instead. I love that you can read reviews about online product so you really know what you are getting. We read all the reviews on similar beds and choose this for the combination of good ratings and price. We were not disappointed!This headboard looks like it should cost 3 x the price. It is a nice looking fabric ( we bought the dark gray one). My son put it together himself in less than one hour with the tools included. We just remodeled this bedroom and adding such an attractive bedframe has really upped our game, we are very happy. I would include a photo but he is still in bed!

This box was very large, as to be expected. I did manage to fit it in my small SUV though. There were a lot of parts but the instructions were pretty good. I did run into a couple holes that didn't have the proper threading for the screws. I was still able to put it all together and it seems pretty sturdy. It did take a couple hours with two people. The headboard had some small flaws in the seems but nothing worth returning it over. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and the price. The bed does sit very low to the ground but looks great with our 7 1/2 inch box springs and 10" memory foam mattress.

I bought this bed and have to admit was a little worried on what I was going to get, for the money I spent. Two girls spent about 45 minutes putting it together. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Worth every dollar.. I've had it for a few months now and have nothing to complain about.

This bed frame is awesome quality. We got it for our guest room and its really nice ! Just as pictured - the material is nice and does not look cheaply made

Very useless bed. Not strong at all. Just a waste of money and recently we found bugs in this bed which I have now thrown away and its costing us alot to get ride of the bugs, this bed brought to our home.
