Do not judge this book by the film - the books is so much better. In fact if you struggle with the first 2 chapters being set in 'heaven' then go and read 'Lucky' Sebolds first book. You will then see what an amazing author she is and you will easily get past the 'heaven' part in 'The Lovely Bones' as I did.This book tells the story of a murdered girl narrating her family's' life after her death. Her sister is in the track team and wonders if a certain man in the neighbourhood may have harmed her sister. It goes into details of how the parents can no longer work as a couple without their youngest daughter.All of Sebolds' books are amazing but she is not a novel writer full time, I have had her last book, as a new release ten years and she has written no more books.

This book is better than the film, end of. Sad but a good read
