I clip this to the dog collar when we’re camping or outside at night. They are so bright. I didn’t realize there was multi function for solid, dim, flashing and also a red light function.

I bought these for my greyhounds. Our yard is large and dark at night, and one of them is nearly blind. I thought they would help me see their location in the yard. What I didn’t expect was that the lights would function like headlights for them. Being greyhounds, they have issues with stairs, even the two steps from the deck to the yard. Solar lighting was some help, but these lights really help them!The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is that it is difficult to turn them on and off. It requires really squeezing them in the right place, and this is hard with our arthritic hands!

I have invested in approximately 10-12 of these lights over the past seven months primarily because of short comings that I will share in my remarks. I do want to say that the concept is impressive and with slight modifications I think this light could really be superb. Some reviewers have compared this light to the Nite-Ize lights that I've used for years on my pets' collars. I really like the ability to recharge and would give the concept five stars if I could rate that separately. The light intensity is quite good for my application and the choice of white or red light allows me to track my two dogs individually from the comfort of my home. In the seven months that I've been using this rechargeable light, I've only had two that eventually failed to take a charge. The bigger issue for me, and one that must be addressed by the manufacturer, is the clip that holds the light to whatever you intend to attach it to. Frankly, the wire clip is the major weak link in the design, because the clip can easily become completely dislodged from the plastic frame which results in the light being lost. of the dozen units I own, two will no longer charge and six are "lost" somewhere on my 3 acre property most likely concealed by the many leaves awaiting Spring cleanup. The wire retaining clip is a poor design because the wire can become separated from the plastic housing. Other deficiencies include lost rubber covers from either the charging port or button that turns the light on or off. Lost rubber covers have never been found and can lead to water intrusion into the light. I've started using a silicone glue to discourage loss of the rubber boots but I have not found a way to overcome the deficient wire retainer clip that causes my dogs to return w/o their light. If you do not plan to use this light for a pet, it may well suit your purpose and be less prone to loss but be sure to keep a close eye on that clip.

The media could not be loaded.  I love these lights! We mostly use these for our doggos at night in our large back yard, and won't go without them if we are out walking with them after dusk. It's wonderful to be able to not only track where when we let them out in dark hours, but to actually be able to SEE what they are doing if we're close enough. These are bright lights, and are more than sufficient to replace a flashlight if you are are walking on even terrain. On a recent beach trip with my Saint Bernard, I would skip the flashlight and just put one on my jacket zipper pull and one my my Saint's collar and we were good to go.They have found myriad other uses in our household as well, and have come in unexpectedly handy more times than I can count. I've given them as gifts when family and friends comment on how nice they are, and ordered an extra set to keep in my office just as backup to ensure we are never without them in the dark PNW winter months.I've used the button-battery carabiner lights before this, and these USB lights are WAY WAY WAY brighter. The brightness paired with the fact that they are rechargeable makes them beyond perfect for us. We adore these lights!I've added a video with some uncontrollable giggles while we watched our Saint and our Hunting Doggo play tug one evening. The lights allowed us to enjoy the great show!

I think this is a great product! We live in the Midwest, so snow and cold are part of our life. I ordered a set In Fall 2021 and just ordered a second set to have 4 lights for our morning and evening walks. I clip one light on each dogs collar to light their way. The 2 new ones I just got I put on the leashes at the hand loop. I have one steady and the other blinking red. I like this to 1, alert someone coming at us and 2, gives a light to find poop in the pitch black morning.Another review talked about the flap covering the charging port coming off. I chose to take it off for my convenience. Over a year later, through snow, rain and cold, we’ve had no problems.Highly recommend this product.

I REALLY want to give this light 5 stars, but I can't for a couple reasons. But first, let me start with the positives:This light is great and exactly what I need it for. I've used it a couple times now for camping. I put one light on my dog to keep track of him while camping or while hiking at night, and it's bright, easy to use, and my pup can't tell it's there. I used the other light to hang in my tent to give me some light. It allows you to see perfectly in there, but it isn't quite bright enough to do something like read a book. I tested the length of the charge on the brightest setting, and it started to die at 6 hours, and totally died at 9 hours.The couple negatives: First is that I can't tell how long the rubber plug for the charging port will last. It feels flimsy and like it doesn't totally secure, and as soon as it breaks stuff will get into the port and make it worthless. Second, it isn't as bright as I would have liked. It worked perfect for my dog, but it only allowed me to see a little in my tent. I was hoping for a good reading light and it didn't do that.

Easy clip on Clip off - Time will tell if clasp will withstand daily use but for now NO issues - Has three (3) settings 1- Bright White 2- Low White & 3- Flashing Red. This is not a 360 degree light like others that hang from the collar but a small rectangle light that will swivel 180 degrees - we use two on her harness (chest & back) in flashing red mode which certainly allows us to spot her romping thru the bush AND be a cause for drivers to slow and confirm something is there while we walk thru the hood. Can get about 2.0 to 2.5 hours per charge (flash mode) and probably could go longer but have not pushed it. Small USB cord for recharging comes with unit and when plugged in the unit flashes red to indicate in charge mode - quits flashing when charged - no other indicator noted - odd but that’s what it does - so far so good and would purchase again

I bought these for my dogs so that they are lit when we are walking out there in the night. My black dog is so dark that I can hardly see her, especially when the streets are not lit. Now that she has the light, I can see where she is.Pros- easy to attach to and remove from their harnesses- quick charge- very bright- like the option of having 3 settings - very bright, less bright and blinking red. It would have been better if it allowed for blink whiteCons- I wish that the light was all around. When it gets flipped over (light on their bodies, the other side has no light source), the light is covered by their bodies. I have to constantly flip it back out so that it is exposed.- the cover to the charging outlet doesn't close securely. It takes quite an effort to close it securely- the on/off buttons are hard to use. Quite an effort to press the button- very short USB cable. Wish it was longer.I hoping for the price to come back down again and I will buy more.

really, my only complaint is that the cover for the USB port does not stay secured. Of the two lights I have, one port cover is gone now. But concernong brighness, general durability, and battery life between charges, I have no major issues. One suggestion would be to have a lower brightness setting.

These are a big step up from the old type that required batteries. I’ve only used them a few times but so far they’re super bright and have lasted for quite a while on a single charge. As you can see (they aren’t turned on the pic though), they’ve been around water and are still working fine. I’m happy with them so far!
