High Performance Computing 2e (Risc Architectures, Optimization & Benchmarks)

This book provides an excellent overview on HPC, both on basic and more advanced topics without being too simplistic.It provides information about compilers, parallelism, distributed and shared memory jobs, how to benchmark architectures and third party software on different HPCs and much more (I recommend to have a look at the product Table of Content).Downside: this book was published in late 90s' and it provides a description of cutting edge processors for that time.
