I wanted a simple sleek Asian style garden lantern. I have seen the larger concrete ones in this design, but the shipping on them is prohibitive. This one is an affordable compromise. It's small-- just a little shorter than an average 18" doll. It is made of a sturdy resin material which seems like it will last many years, probably forever if brought indoors for freezing winter. I doubt it is intended for constant wetness in a water feature. It has an irregular dimpled texture similar to orange peel but bigger, maybe one fourth inch dimples. It was first painted in med. aqua-gray, then antiqued with shiny metallic copper. I opted for a plainer, granite color so spray-painted mine. The base is hollow, so a capable electrician or DIYer could probably wire it for light, but I think cool temp. solar LED only. I would like to see this manufacturer offer a larger, smooth surfaced one in a gray granite color. Perhaps 30" tall.

This pagoda is well-made, reasonably sized, and was such a great addition to my garden.

Absolutely love this item! Great addition to my garden!! I was thinking I might return it when it arrived. I was afraid the size wouldn’t be worth the price! But I was wrong it’s worth the price, it’s a great size, and very nicely done. Looks perfect next to my gnomes :)
