How does this product compare with Cliradex for getting rid of demodex mites?

I found that it cleans the demodex debris they leave on your eyelashes. If you are awake in the middle of the night when the Demondex come out to mate and use them when you feel them moving around-this product will kill the active Demondex. Most people are not awake. Demondex are not active in light/bright light. To help get rid of them put your pillow in a dryer on the cotton/highest heat at least every other night. I use Bed bug spray on my sheets ever other night. I had an infestation on my back & this got rid of Demondex. I grew tired of changing the bedding every night. FDA has approved several new medications just for Demondex. That is a miracle since most doctors are still thinking it is natural to have them. God Bless

What are the wipes made of? Is it a tightly woven pad?

The wipes have aloe leaf juice, coconut oil, tea tree oil plus a few other ingredients. They are a moist, tightly woven cloth. I cut them into smaller pieces to make them last longer and fold the pkg. tightly to keep them moist.

I just bought these at the end of march, and the towelettes are nearly dry! can i add water to them and will it dilute the active ingredients?

It depends on what you were diagnosed with. If you have Demodex on your eyelids , you need Cliradex wipes which have more tea tree oil to kill the demodex. I 've tried a few and I'm getting the best results for my Demodex with Cliradex wipes. I cut them in 4 pieces, use one piece in the morning and if it gets dry, I add Cliradex foam to it and use again at night. (You don't have to reuse it though.) You can just add cliradex foam to the ones you have and if you don't get rid of the demodex, you can get the Cliradex which is much stronger than the one you"re using.

Have been using for a few yrs but opthalmologist advises to use preservative-free only. Ingredient list is making me skeptical. Is it preservative?

I would show it to your doctor. Asking, is it a preservative?, isn’t an accurate question. Tea tree itself has antibacterial and anti-microbial properties and is naturally preservative. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it because it’s what is getting rid of the mites. The best bet you have is to show your doctor. Using it every day for years probably isn’t a great idea either.

I just received my replacement order as first was shipped w borax and destroyed box and some packets but bc of contamination risk I couldn’t use. Amazon asked if I wanted a replacement? Yes, this is a great product of you suffer w eye infections of any type. It helps the healing and the pain! I’ve used this brand for years my Dr was out of boxes used samples, but Amazon had a different box but same company and ingredients! Coconut and tea tree make a huge difference in pain anc healing process. Highly recommend the product! Each towelette is sealed and is easy to pack when needed!
