This little silicone pot holder does not take up ANY room or space in your backpack. It is even smaller than it looks in the pictures, but it really is all you need to be able to grab the handle or lid of a pot cooking over the fire, and not burn yourself. Just what I needed.

This GSI Outdoors Microgripper Pot Gripper is a great idea and a great solution for shaving weight while providing a sufficient means to lift your handleless camping pot.The size is just about right. This could have been the perfect product...The only thing is the silicon is a little too thin in the finger pocket. Because of this I can hold the boiling hot pot only for a few seconds. The silicon on the flat side is thicker and good.I cut a piece of silicon rubber from a kitchen product (silicone wrapping lid) I got at a Daiso dollar store and placed inside of the finger pocket of my Microgripper to add more thickness. Problem solved.I was also weary about having have to submerge the finger pocket into the rolling boiling water, but the finger pocket seems to insulate the heat from the water OK. The only problem is the heat transfer from the wall of my pot.The shortcoming of the gripper is easily solvable so don't be discouraged to get this gripper.Added bonus: This also doubles as a measuring cup for alcohol fuel. Just above the magnet is 1 oz of liquid.

I bought a TOAKS 550ml cooking pot to use with my Soto Windmaster Stove for backpacking, but the handles on the pot get very hot while I'm boiling the water. I needed something to protect my fingers when I grab hold of the handles and this little silicone device serves that purpose without being bulky and cumbersome. It's just enough to do the job! I also like that it's ultralight and stows inside the pot with my fuel canister. It works great for my purposes!

These are so so tiny. Two finger operation tiny. I guess I didn’t read the description well enough. But just a heads up… they are so tiny. Be sure you understand how tiny so tiny is before you decide whether to purchase. They seem fine other than being miniature human size.

I recently bought a Snow Peak Dutch oven so I needed some grippers to pick it up. These are small, sized for 2 fingers and a thumb which is all you need. Good quality and the magnet works although it doesn’t seem necessary. I was hoping that for the price two were included but that is not the case. So they are way overpriced but I still bought a second one.

I really wanted to like this. It's super lightweight and I love the magnet to keep it handy. But it just didn't provide enough coverage for my fingers for lifting a hot camp pot off the stove. I have a ultralight titanium pot and a pocket rocket stove (for context).The pot handles always get SO hot from the flame and I was hoping this would be the solution. It makes it so I can only use 2 fingers and a thumb and the thumb protection is not enough. If the thumb flap was also a pocket so it stayed on my thumb it would be better. Also the way you pick up a pot by the handle is by twisting your hand and not pinching it like this allows so unless you are pinching the top of the pot this is useless and you still get burned.
