REALLY comfortable and fine quality slippers! Buy your ACTUAL size!
I've now been on the hunt for the perfect slipper for many months. I have bought and returned several different kinds now from Minnetonka to North Face Thermoball. I have always been a Bear Paw gal, but wanted to try one that was more like a full shoe and most of theirs are half slippers.Living at the base of the mountains in Utah, our winters are long and cold. Our house is mostly tile and wood floors and I feel like my feet are CONSTANTLY cold. The North Face slippers were SO COMFORTABLE but they were just way too ugly. I mean, I know they're slippers and maybe that makes me vain, but if I'm going to spend good money I don't want to hate what I see when I look down at my feet. The Minnetonkas are well made, warm and comfortable, but just not quite the style I wanted, so I gifted them to my sister in law and she loves them! Then it came to these... I was really hesitant to buy anything UGG because if I'm being honest, I can't stand UGG boots. I know, I'm like, one of 5 women on the earth probably. Mostly I just can't stand things that are ridiculously trendy, but also because I think they're by and large very ugly. but, I decided to give these a shot.I wear a true size 8.5 (women) and based on other reviewers saying they ran small/snug, I ordered the 9 thinking they would be just right. When they arrived and I put them on, I immediately understood why people keep saying they fit "snug", but it isn't an ill fitting or uncomfortable "snug". It's because of all the fluffy innards. But don't let that fool you. The fluffy stuff mats down as you wear them. The actual slipper itself seems to be sized pretty well. The 9, while "snug" on the inside because of the fluff, were too long for my foot and caused heel slipping when I walked. Unacceptable. Returned. When the 8's arrived they fit MUCH better. No heel slipping when I walk! You almost have to ignore the snugness when you first put them on, knowing that it will go away, and focus on how they fit lengthwise. If anything I would say they run a little large as I normally wouldn't feel comfortable in an 8 and these have plenty of room to spare for my toes. Here's what I love:QUALITY - These are some damn fine quality slippers (for the money they'd better be)! The silky suede genuine pig leather is really, really high quality and lovely. The rubber soles are very sturdy and substantial and provide great traction on our slick floors for chasing my autistic 4 year old boy around the house every morning. The stitching and seams are very tight and professional and are not going to fall apart on you. The faux fur fluffy stuff is super soft and supportive and WARM!STYLE - Honestly, these are exactly what I was looking for in terms of style for a slipper. Easy to slip on and off without having to use my hands. I LOVE the light grey color and it was VERY true to the color pictured which I always appreciate. It's a very simple and sleek design but also looks chic because of the fine stitching detail. I love the imprinted "Ugg Austrailia" logo on the heel. It's very well done.COMFORT/WARMTH - Yeah these slippers took almost no breaking in. The only thing that has to be broken in is that initial snugness caused by the faux fur. I think it feels great and supportive and these are super soft and warm! I no longer have cold winter feet! I wear them with and without socks. Mostly with, as sweaty feet and faux fur don't play nicely together in my experience.WATER RESISTANT - I am SO happy that they made the leather water resistant and gave this slipper a rubber sole. First, it was important to me to have a slipper that I could run outside in to grab the mail or take out the trash etc. Sometimes that involves a little snow. Obviously I'm not going to shovel the driveway in these or wear them to the store, but it's really nice to be able to go outside or in the garage (to our spare fridge) without fear or ruining these. As for what I don't like as much:I think it's really tacky of them to put brand them as "UGG Austrailia" when they clearly say "made in China" on the tag inside. I mean, I get that companies outsource manufacturing for cost reasons, but then just call it UGG. I think it's deceptive to buyers to do this. So, lest you have images dancing in your head of some slipper maker in Australia stroking his koala bear between stitching pairs of moccasin slippers...think again.I think they go a little overboard on the faux fur lining. It's a little TOO voluptuous in my opinion. Both in terms of that snugness at the beginning and also because it seems to be spilling out of the slipper. There are some stray pieces that hang over and almost need to be trimmed off. It's hard to explain. Maybe you can see what I mean in my pictures, but it almost looks like it needs a hair cut when they first come. These are the most expensive slippers I have ever owned, hands down. Heck, these cost more than 97% of the SHOES I've ever owned as well! That's a really high price tag. Granted, they're also VERY VERY high in quality and I'm hopeful that they'll last a LONG TIME. If they don't, I will be updating. I just think for being made in China, these should really not cost quite so much. If they were being made in Australia where they're basically advertised to be from, I might not have a problem with it, but they're an Australian company, made in China, sourced by a German shoe company (Birkenstock) in California and fulfilled by Amazon. All that being said, so far I'm a fan of these slippers and I will update as they continue to break in. I'm really hopeful that they hold up well and don't get stinky! And for the record, I paid full price for these. Didn't get 'em for free, didn't get a discount. I'm just trying to help other buyers cause these ain't cheap!

Much to my disappointment the left slipper would flop on and off as ...
Literally just received these. After much anticipation I was excited to try them on. Much to my disappointment the left slipper would flop on and off as I walked while the right slipper fit perfectly ( I am and always have been a size 8). I was gonna keep them and see if that changed with time as they broke in but then i noticed the subpar stitching on the outside of the slipper. Sorry but for $100 bucks I do expect stitching to be decent and this was just not acceptable. I might consider ordering in another color to see if they fit better and will update if I decide to give these another try. I really want to love them as they are warm and cute ....i do believe after breaking them they could potentially be very comfortable.**update**After walking around in the shoes they were so comfortable that I really didn't want to be without them. Temperatures have been below freezing and I dreaded even driving to the UPS store to make a return. I contacted the seller about the issue ( it really bothered me to pay 100 bucks for a defective slipper). The seller got back to me very quickly and was MORE than willing to work with me to make me a happy customer! I do believe that for some reason I got a defective pair ( and I don't believe that is typical of this brand) but other than the stitching issue they appear to be of good quality and very warm and cozy! I will not only be recommending these slippers to friends and family but also this seller!Additionally the left slipper that kept flopping on and off stopped after wearing for a few days. Very satisfied.

Possibly fake?
This is my 3rd pair of UGG slippers I purchased just 2 months ago. A week or so ago i noticed that my slipper was hurting my foot in the middle, so I lifted the insole to investigate. I found that the sole of the slipper was splitting in the half. I own and have owned many pairs of uggs, some of then for 4+ years and this has never been a problem. Very very disappointed. Will never buy "UGGs" from Amazon again

Too small
The slipper is great BUT, way too small. I read as many review as I could about what size to order. Ladies, I am telling you, order a size up! I wear a 7 1/2 M shoe, no matter what. In the UGG boot, I wear a size 7. I just bought a new pair this year, after having my old ones from 2000!!!! They were a bit snug at first, but they did stretch out. I read the reviews on Amazon, and my goodness, some said to get the 8 and some said no, get the 7. That the 8 was going to be too big. Of course my gut said get the 8, but most of the ladies on the reviews said, oh no, the 7 will stretch out. Well, I just got mine and there is no way these will stretch out! No way! They are so short. Not snug. So they are going back tomorrow and I just bought the size 8. Hoping that will be fine. I mean, these almost felt like a size 6! I hope not miss marked.

Cute. If this next size works, I will love them
My normal size is 7.5 - 8. Reading the reviews I was sure the 8 was the right size. They were a tish too big and the back of the shoe seemed so low. They would slip up when I walked. I am going to try the 7. Cute and simple, which I liked. I will follow up on my size change.UPDATE: Change to 5 stars. It is always a little tricky for me ordering "Ugg", but when I get the size right, they are by far worth it. I will start with my normal size 7.5 to 8. I read the reviews for this particular slipper. This led me to feel I should order them in a 8. Received them and the back slipped off my heel when I stepped. Although the front part and toes were snug and good. Since they only come in whole sizes and I really do like the look. I reordered them in a 7. When I put them on they were pretty snug. But I know that with all the awesome fluffy puffy lining they will wear down and mold to my feet. A little nervous because they were pretty snug, I put them on for the day. Half way through my day I had to take them off because they were kind tight. put them on a bit later and finished they day with them on. Woke up next morning and now have worn them all day a all is good. They are perfect. Happy camper
