Q: Are you able to separate the blades for easier sharpening on a stone?

I have not tried to sharpen them yet. I DO know out of the box they are very sharp. I took a leather strop to them and they are amazingly sharp now. Almost too sharp. Accidentally sliced my finger just brushing against one of the blades when I moved a little too quickly and my hand didn't. It DOES appear as if they can be taken apart once the screw and nut is removed though.

Yes the blades can be separated. Use small-sized spanner, unscrew the nut, then it can be separated. After sharpening, you can also screw the nut to adjust if the blades are not aligned well.
