Nicely built machinethat puts out good ice cream.
When I received my machine there was a slight glitch. I contacted customer service at Whynter and they took care of it ASAP. So right there I gave them 5 stars. The machine is awesome. It runs great and makes good ice cream. There's really no mess involved. Its easy to keep clean and it doesn't make any messes. It's very easy to use and the recipes are easy to follow too. Ice cream quality was good. When it was done making the ice cream it tasted great. Then I put the extra in an ice cream container covering the top with plastic then the lid to freeze it and the next day it was still a nice flavor and texture. One thing they could work on would be the mixing component every once in awile it would stop mixing because the ice cream would be to hard for the paddle to turn. That's when I would stop the machine and call it done. It usually would happen with a small batch of ice cream in about 30 minutes or so. A good solid well built machine.

Fantastic Ice Cream Maker — Delicious Results Every Time!
I absolutely love this ice cream maker! Right out of the box, it looked sleek and well-built — the stainless steel finish gives it a modern feel that looks great on my countertop. The built-in compressor is a game-changer. Unlike other machines that require pre-freezing bowls, this one chills on its own and delivers creamy, perfectly textured ice cream, gelato, and sorbet with minimal effort. The LCD display and countdown timer make it easy to monitor progress, and I appreciate the motor protection feature — it gives extra peace of mind during extended use. I’ve made multiple batches now, adding in fruit, chocolate, and nuts, and every result has been rich and smooth. Cleanup is straightforward, and the removable churn blade makes things even easier. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned homemade dessert fan, this ice cream maker delivers consistent, delicious results. Highly recommend it for family treats, parties, and creative frozen desserts!

Great product, works well
Bought this for a family Christmas gift and we'e been very happy with it so far. The kids love it so far. Works well, most recipes are done in less than an hour. It's vey simple to use and clean. It's also not as loud as some reviews were making it out to be; it's about as loud as the range fan above the stove. Compressor ice-cream makers are more expensive than the ones that need the bowl to be chilled overnight in the freezer but I think the convenience of being able to make ice cream whenever you want or make multiple batches in a row is worth it. So far so good and would buy this brand again.

Worth the Wait – Incredible Homemade Ice Cream Every Time
I took a long time deciding whether or not to purchase the 2.1 Quart Winther Ice Cream Maker because I really weighed my options and wanted to be sure it was worth it. I’m so glad I finally took the plunge. This machine has exceeded my expectations. The ice cream comes out absolutely amazing. So far I’ve made cookies and cream, strawberry, vanilla with chocolate chips, and vanilla with peanut butter, and every batch has been creamy, flavorful, and delicious. I love that I can add my own mix-ins and customize each batch exactly how I want it. One thing I really appreciate is that I’m using real, simple ingredients. Because of that, the ice cream does start to melt fairly quickly once it’s in the bowl, but I’m completely okay with that. To me, that’s a good sign that there are no unnecessary additives or stabilizers, and the taste more than makes up for it. This ice cream maker is also just genuinely fun to use. I love being able to make my own ice cream, experiment with flavors, and come up with my own formulas. It’s become something I truly look forward to using, and I’m excited to keep creating new flavors in the future. If you’ve been on the fence like I was, I can confidently say this ice cream maker is worth it. I’m so happy I bought it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves homemade ice cream made with real ingredients.

New and Improved Ice Cream Making
Just received the unit and used it once. It runs great and I think it will beat the old, freeze the bowl, model I had before.

Easy to Use!
Easy to use and makes delicious ice cream! We bought it as our family gift and the kids made ice cream 3 times on Christmas Day! Highly recommend! It’s quiet and high quality. We've had the frozen bucket and hand-crank with ice and rock salt for years and it's always a chore to make ice cream. With the Whynter machine, we can decide now to make ice cream, add it to the machine, walk away, and have ice cream in an hour. By the way, it's the BEST homemade ice cream you'll ever make. Creamy and flavorful without the icy texture.

Worth the Price and Easy to Use.
I have had the ice cream machines that require you to freeze the container which never produced ice cream you could immediately eat, rather, you had to then freeze the soft-serve to a harder consistency. The photo that accompanies the product shows the kind of ice cream I wanted to make without having to freeze the bowl or the mixture after the machine had reached its freezing capacity. It appears that the only thing that will cause this machine to labor is the ice cream mixture being nearly solid, so that is what I was looking for and I am happy with the results. The instructions are very clear and simple. The machine is not too loud and the control buttons are very easy to operate. The machine comes with a really great “Recipe Manual” hat includes not only ice cream and sorbet, but also recipes for margaritas, pina coladas, frozen yogurt and Gaspacho, which I had never thought of making with an ice cream machine! Watching the mixture rotate in the ice cream tub when it is turned on and partially frozen, you see the entire mixture moving in the direction of the paddle, when I made Lemon Sorbet there was liquid in the center that did not get frozen, as the outside mixture had. When I removed it from the machine it was not consistently frozen, but the machine started making a loud noise, so I stopped it. Perhaps the paddle was rubbing against the side of the container that was frozen solid and unable to move. So that would be an issue that might require taking the mixture out or at least stirring it around to keep the sides of the container clear. However, it does warn you to NOT use anything but the plastic scooper so that the container is not scratched. I also made chocolate fudge bar mixture to put into ice cream popsicle molds. I only froze the mixture to a consistency I could spread into the molds and after freezing the molded mixture, they were perfect, without ice crystals. The only concern I have is with the plastic lid. It appears that it must be in place to properly operate the machine, as I turned it on without the lid on and the paddle did not go all the way around. It is made of brittle plastic and has a rather fragile opening for adding ingredients. If it drops, it will likely shatter. I looked to see if there was a replacement part and I could not find one, so that plastic lid will need to be taken very good care of. None of the parts are to go into the dishwasher per the instruction booklet.

Best ice cream ever!!
We love our 2.1 quart Ice Cream maker. I have it sitting on my counter ready to go because we love this custard style ice cream. It is easy to use and it makes amazing custard/ice cream. We love the vanilla custard so much I doubt we will ever buy any anywhere else. I put Hot fudge chocolate and pecans on mine, my husband loves his with oreo's and cookie dough. It is easy to use, and with 60 min. you have fresh soft serve ice cream. It was our anniversary gift to each other and we couldn't be happier.
